N27

Virgin media was set up in our new house on Saturday. Today when turning on the TV is comes up with the error message n27 network cable unplugged. It also says that there's no issue with the internet connection.. I checked all the leads and the connections are fine. Whilst writing this message the picture and sound has come back. What's going on?

Do you have a TiVo (with inbuilt internet connection) or a V6 (relies on your home broadband) box?

The advice will potentially differ depending on the answer.

Lack of live TV picture and sound is a fault which needs reporting, irrespective.

Lack of live TV picture (assuming it's multiple channels) would be enough to call VM-faults, personally.
