 Hiya. I have tv channel and phone and have enquired about Mulitroom.i explained to advisor I had a second tivo box and all the cabling just looking for a multiroom subscription but I was advised I would need to buy a new box and have an engineer to install it.pointless when all I need is a second virwing card

the tivo do not use viewing cards and haven't for years.

When a box is removed from an account it can not be moved or readded to another.

How did you get the box. Was it supplied by VM or bought somewhere else?

Any TiVo box you have that has not been subscribed is removed from the cable network and can’t be reactivated.

The only source of additional boxes is Virgin Media at the current charges.

It’s always worth speaking to Retentions to see what they can do in return for a new contract minimum period.

My main box is tivo and has a viewing card in it.

If the box was obtained through Virgin and was once active on your account, they should be able to reactivate it. I've had redundant boxes reactivated in the past so I know it is possible. Sounds like the agent may have been being obstructive or isn't aware of the procedure to re-add equipment back on to an account.

I don't see any mixed information.

If the tivo box was on your account and still is linked it can be reactivated.
If its been removed or was never linked to your account it can't be added
