Hi. New Tivo box installed this week, replacing an ancient Virgin one. Every time we've accessed the apps section and gone to view, say, a video on youtube, we've lost all volume. Then, when returning to tv, the volume stays lost - despite turning it up - until we turn off both the box & and the (older) LG tv with the Virgin remote and turn on again.
Any ideas of the issue and a fix? Couldn't see this flagged up previously. Many thanks in advance.
No joy from the Forum, so I am keen to see if the webchat service can help - but it has said "team unavailable" for the last 24 hours when looking for TiVo assistance. Is this route a non-starter, and a phone call the only choice? Anyone had webchat help work well for them with a TiVo problem?
It was just the TV's own speakers that we were using at the time. We ended up having an engineer round and after he seemed to have it working with another tv, he thinks the original tv is the issue - maybe too old or a problem with one or more of the ports.
So looks like we may need a new TV to get the most out of our subscription. A bit frustrating that the original installation engineer didn't check it when it arrived.
