I’ve started getting intermittent pixelation and sound dropouts on both my TiVo boxes. It started on Monday 4th Sept and has had been happening intermittently ever since, at worst it can be every few seconds, else every minute or so. Although some days it doesn’t appear to occur. Do I need to book an engineer?
Yes you've got signal issues and you need to get an engineer out. Call 150 from your VM landline or 0345 454 1111 from other phones and use the "if there's a fault with your TV service" option. Let us know how you get on.
Since when I first reported this issue, my signal strength has stabilised and currently have no pixelation or sound dropouts. My question is should the signal strength be at 100% for each tuner, as they are currently below:
The TiVo boxes often don't report the signal strength accurately. It could show 85% and you may still have issues. However it does seem like the strength is on the low side. What's your SNR?
Best thing to do is call faults and get them to check it from their end to see if it's within spec, if not they'll send an engineer out. Alternatively, wait for a member of the forum team to do this for you.
