Flashing picture

I have a newly installed Tivo box. I don't know which model it is because there's nothing on the box apart from the fact it's a Samsung. I am connected to cable and not the internet. My picture comes on, then it goes to a black screen and comes back on again. I've changed hdmi ports. I've restarted and re-booted. The problem persists. What do I do next? Thanks.

Hi if you look at your bill it will tell you which box you have as it's hard to give the right advice unless people know.Regards Micky

Thanks.

There is no reference to the type of box on my bill, probably because it is a new installation.

All the paperwork I have refers to a TiVo box - it's the sleek looking one and not the chunky one.

As to the box itself - it's a Samsung, 500 GB, with no other information available.

Unfortunately the problem persists so I've stopped using the box.
