Cancelling a second TiVo box due to divorce

My husband has sprung a divorce on me due to my infertility and wishes to sell the house so he can get his cash out. What a gent.

I am trying to find a new place to live and will take virgin with me. However I don’t want to carry on paying for a second tivo box if I can help it-he has it in his study and I never got to use it.

As my contract doesn’t run out until January and I may move early December I wondered if I would be penalised as a result of downgrading to one box. I am obviously distraught and dealing with a load of stuff so I wondered if you knew how kind Virgin might be in these sorts of situations. And whether i will suffer a huge penalty.

Re: Cancelling a second TiVo box due to divorce

Clofty24,

Good morning.  It must be a real worry at such an awful time. Lots of things factor in like are you in a contract and is your new address serviceable by virgin media. As far as I know removing a second box should not affect your package. Give customer care a call and see what they can do I am sure they will explain everything to you. There is no point point paying for a second box if you do not need it.

Good luck

if the second box is part of the package then removing it will force you to change the package and will start a new contract.
