Re: Bluetooth

I have bought the one you recommend and it works great but if I go into apps and watch Netflix through the TiVo box I lose the sound. When I revert back to watching a normal programme on the box i have the sound back again. Is there a remedy to this problem.

Re: Bluetooth

Hello,

I've just seen this post, it seems to be just what I'm looking for.

Would I be right in assuming that I can connect this to the rear of my LG smart television (which has no headphone socket) using the RCA (supplied) cable?

The reason I ask is that if I plug my wired headset into the Tivo box I can't find a way to adjust the volume (or am i wrong here?) wheres if I plug into the TV I can control the volume.

Thanks

Re: Bluetooth

Hi richard49,

Thanks for coming by.

If you're TV set doesn't have the appropriate socket for the device, there may be scope for an adaptor?

It's not an area I specialise in but thought I would put the suggestion out there.

The volume control may need to be done via the headset you have connected?

Let me know how you get on.  Hopefully a member of the forum with more specialised knowledge on these devices will be along to help further.

Collette.

Re: Bluetooth

I am using a JBL flip4 Bluetooth speaker and because my Samsung tv does not have a phono socket I have purchased a Taotronic transmitter / receiver connected to the digital sound port on my TiVo box but I have to adjust the sound from my speaker controls. It’s no problem and works fine, the only thing that does not work is when I use the Netflix app on my TiVo box I get no sound at all.

Re: Bluetooth

Hi soxbox,

Thank you for taking the time to post in the Community.

I'm sorry to hear that you are experiencing this issue.

This is not an area I specialise in and I'm unable to offer any support on 3rd party equipment connected to our equipment.

I'm sorry I can't be of more help on this for you. Maybe someone in the Community can help further.

Take care,

Louise

What's the audio format set to on your TiVo box?

Help & Settings > Settings > Audio >Dolby Digital for HDMI output

Try changing it to the other option (which may be PCM instead of Dolby Digital) to see if that helps.

Re: Bluetooth

That works a treat, thanks BenMcr, I’ve been a while getting back to you as I have been waiting for my new box to arrive today. I’ve done a self install and everything works perfect, I’m really pleased I can hear Netflix thro my Bluetooth speaker now.

Re: Bluetooth

I connected the digital optical cable from the transmitter into the digital optical port on the Virgin box.
Then the other cable is the power source and I connected that one to one of the USB ports on my tv
Once connected, you can switch it on, when the blue light starts flashing you can begin pairing your bluetooth speaker or headphones.
