I guess it's good to see it's a common problem then.
iPlayer is the only app on virgin that doesn't work properly.
As others have stated I can't believe Virgin can't / won't sort this out, especially when putting prices up. Time to switch I guess.
For the record every time I use the iplayer, on every programme, it buffers during the opening credits only and is generally very slow when scrolling or using the search function.
That and Netflix (no problems) are my two most used apps so this is a cause of considerable frustration.
