BBC I player

I was unable to use iPlayer through TiVo for about 3 days last week. A Virgin engineer came out to check everything and said that he’d just received a message that it was a national problem and was being dealt with urgently. There was nothing wrong with my equipment. I player eventually came back on on Sunday but it is excruciatingly slow - much slower than before. Is anyone else experiencing these problems?
