Some people around the world are unable to access my website, ultrarunningworld.co.uk via a Vigin Media server. This has been going on for some time. Any advice would be very helpful

There is a DNS lookup problem as mine (9.9.9.9) fails.

C:\>nslookup ultrarunningworld.co.uk
Server: dns9.quad9.net
Address: 9.9.9.9

*** dns9.quad9.net can't find ultrarunningworld.co.uk: Server failed

C:\>

However, VM's DNS works.

C:\>nslookup ultrarunningworld.co.uk 194.168.4.100
Server: cache1.service.virginmedia.net
Address: 194.168.4.100

Non-authoritative answer:
Name: ultrarunningworld.co.uk
Address: 104.244.127.59

If I try to access http://104.244.127.59 I get this from Bitdefender.

Your connection to this web page is not safe due to an unmatching security certificate.
This means that the certificate was issued for a different web address than the one it is being used for, and you run the risk of exposing your data by accessing this page.

I also could not view ultrarunningworld.co.uk using quad9 dns 9.9.9.9, it gives a message-

This site can’t be reached

Check if there is a typo in ultrarunningworld.co.uk.

  • If spelling is correct, try running windows network Diagnostics.
DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN

This may be due to the dns and nxdomain may mean it can not resolve the IP address or something in the web site is insecure so the quad9 DNS  may block the website.

Thanks for your suggestions. Where could the typo be? I am able to access the site though the site is slow to load. I am unable to replicate the issue.

Have you changed the setup/name/host for your website recently?

You seem to have some sort of issue with your DNS records. I am using a BT connection and can access

ultrarunningworld.co.uk (albeit it slowly)

The IP address from Roger_Gooner at #3 resolves via http to a Wordpress page (last updated Aug 2022 and different to ultrarunningworld.co.uk) for 6dayrace<dot>com and there appears to be a conflict for the IP address returned for ultrarunningworld and the security certificate being issued for 6dayrace. I am guessing different people are getting different results depending on exactly what URL they enter and what DNS server they happen to be using.

If I enter the domain name

ultrarunningworld.co.uk

into the web checking tool

https://www.ssltrust.co.uk/ssl-tools/website-security-check

it returns

SSL/TLS Report
Status: Error View
State: Unable to Resolve Domain to IP
We were Unable to Make a Secure Connection. Please be cautious when sharing any important information with this website.

Some brainy web people on here may be able to diagnose the issue in further detail for you (and/or you should refer to the people who have created your website and/or your hosting company)

Thank you goslow for your suggestion. I am working on trying to get the certificate corrected and re-issued.

DNS Propagation is not happening for ultrarunningworld.co.uk

To reproduce the issue as seen by non VM customers, set your computer or mobile's DNS to be Google Public DNS.

Hi,
I need more advice as I seem to have exacerbated the problem and more people cannot access the site. Now I am also getting a non overidable TLS error from my thunderbird email client.
I can't locate where the incorrect information is. I re-installed the ssl certificate but some services now say there is no CNAME and no SOA though i can see them in my cpanel.
