The BT community forum (which also uses the Khoros platform)
contains parallel complaints of uselessness for most all of the same categories of complaint which crop up on here. It's just a 'feature' IMO of the operations of today's huge mega-corporations when internal and external communications and processes break down or are poorly designed.
In the case of VM though, the magnitude, frequency and repeated patterns of their failings in so many areas is hard to match.
