iTunes - iPad - and Photos

I have kept my iPad Pro up to date and also kept iTunes up to date.  Now I can't find anywhere in iTunes to import photos from my PC and sync them to the iPad.  The facility just seems to have disappeared altogether.

The only view options I get are ... Music, Films, TV Programmes, Podcasts and Audio Books.  I have been through the menus in iTunes and still can't find the photo option.

Any ideas please?

Thanks Ben, me being stupid.  I wasn't clicking on the iPad 'device' icon.  Found photos now.   Smiley Wink

Re: iTunes - iPad - and Photos

I have always thought it odd that Apple don't make it easier to transfer jpg images from a PC to an Apple device i.e. drag and drop from a PC folder to an Apple folder.  The latest iPads have such fabulous display screens that it seems a criminal waste not to make photo viewing simpler instead of having to go through the tortuous iTunes import & conversion process which often fails to pick all the photos anyway.

They do have an easier way - it's iCloud, which will sync with iCloud Photos:

Re: iTunes - iPad - and Photos

Thanks Ben.  I have up to now avoided putting anything in the Cloud but it seems I may have to review that policy for my photos.  I will have to pay but their fees seem reasonable.

Re: iTunes - iPad - and Photos

Ben is right. iCloud is the way to go, I have thousands of photos, music files, data files and video files on my machine which are all automatically synchronised to my storage in iCloud. I also sync them to my NAS box.

Re: iTunes - iPad - and Photos

Well I've taken the plunge and set up iCloud on my Windows 7 computer where my 7GB of photos reside and it seems to be uploading them now according to Task Manager > Services but it sure is painfully slow.  I can't find anything in the iCloud setup which actually shows you a file upload progress bar ... have I missed something?
