Whatsapp on virgin Wi-Fi

Hi, my wife and I, as of today, can’t open any media sent to us on WhatsApp when on Wi-Fi . If on 4G all is ok. We have different phones/software etc and the only high that is the same is our Virgin router. Web safe is off etc

Re: Whatsapp on virgin Wi-Fi

Hi swalker1977,

Sorry to hear that you are having problems with your WhatsApp via WiFi. Has this issue been resolved for you?

If you are still having a problem with this, please try/verify the following:

  • Reboot your Virgin Media SuperHub
  • Are other apps are working via the SuperHub WiFi connection (Facebook, Instagram, etc...)?
  • Uninstall/reinstall WhatsApp

Please let me know how this goes for you.

Thanks,

Re: Whatsapp on virgin Wi-Fi

Hi, we have the same issue with WhatsApp in our household.

the only way it works is when we drop Wi-Fi and go onto 3/4G. I’ve tried whitelisting WhatsApp through website but it still doesn’t work - any ideas?

Re: Whatsapp on virgin Wi-Fi

Hiya,

No errors, it just doesn't seem to send or receive messages. when I leave the house and the phone drops onto 3/4G then the messages suddenly appear.

Everything else works just fine, it's just WhatsApp that has issues - any ideas?
