The screenshot was the uSwitch speed tester being inaccurate. They usually test new speeds by upgrading all customers on a tier in a particular area, there is no option to opt-in to these, everyone gets it.

They do this to check how the load on the network increases, so will do it in areas with various amounts of capacity and various quantities of customers sharing that capacity.

A really big point about it is not telling the people in the trial area so that they don't have people speed testing en masse and skewing the results Smiley Happy

Well the Q is then.. did you ask for this increase or did they give it without you requesting it Pyrotenax?

I think its just a glitch in the speed test on that website lol ... all other speed tests on other websites just returned my normal 300Mbps service sadly

Interesting, I am getting 380Mbps as tested by speedtest.net. I have tried this using the following speedtest servers
O2 in Slough
Vodafone in Newbury and in London

MY speed test.jpgYep 431Mbps, Did a few test and the average was 415mbps over 5 tests this was highest Smiley Tongue
