Stolen laptop

Hello,

Laptops stolen at the end of November 2017.

Can my laptop be traced via MAC address or by any other method? Do virgin store MAC addresses (my laptop), will they see that I used my laptop via wifi and my laptop’s MAC address is recorded.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you all in advance.

Re: Stolen laptop

virginmedia would only really see the current mac addresses i believe of connected devices don't think they can do a search of the whole network for a customers device.

Re: Stolen laptop

Unless it’s and Apple Mac and has been set up correctly I do not think you will every be able to trace it by your suggested method.

Re: Stolen laptop

If the lost device connects automatically to a cloud based service then you might be able to see what IP address was used for the connection.
