Can anyone help please!!!

I have a Bowers and Wilkins speaker which I am trying to find a code which enables me to use the volume buttons on the remote.
Is this possible and if so does anyone know the code?

many thanks.

Hi Matt,

I had a quick scan of your other posts to try and see which set top box you have, however I can't be certain.

In January 2021 you said, "The V3 box even re booted its self last night!"

VM don't have a V3 box, so I think you mean a V6 box, but there again you may mean the newer 360 which has a voice function on the remote.

There's an /audio_remote_code_list.pdf for the TIVO and V6 boxes although I can't see anything there by  Bowers & Wilkins

You could try the following, but it's time consuming.

  1. Make sure the AV device and your TiVo/V6  box are switched on
  2. Press and hold down Clear and Volume Down at the same time until the light on top of the remote flashes green twice
  3. Enter the code 1999 to access the AV device code database – the LED will flash green twice
  4. Point the remote at the AV device and press channel up repeatedly until a code mutes the volume for the device – the LED will flash green each time a code is sent
  5. When the volume turns off, press Mute to turn the volume back on
  6. Press Volume Up / Down and Mute to check that the remote is working with your device. If it doesn’t work, continue to search using Channel Up until the next code turns off the volume, and repeat steps 5 and 6
  7. When the Volume and Mute keys work, press OK to store the code. The LED will then flash green twice

If you reach the end of the code database, the light on top of the remote will give an extended red flash and exit programming mode.

NOTE: If you think you’ve missed the code for the AV device, you can work backwards through the code database by pressing the channel down button at any time.

If you have the 360 then it's a little easier.

Press Home > Settings > Audio & Video > Pair remote with devices > there are 2 options, one for TV and one for audio set up

Select the audio set up, Highlight B, then scroll down - Try B&W first, you can either start key testing (the first one that works isn't always the right one so try a few more key presses), or enter the device model number

If that doesn't work  go back to the B list and scroll down to Bowers & Wilkins and perform the same actions
