Register for updates fails

We have service issues but when we register for updates with mobile numbers or email it fails. So the service is useless

I checked for faults, then details of fault, then tried to register for updates both by mobile number, which failed, then by email that also failed so no use whatsoever 😖

What's your service issue?

And how are you checking for faults, or trying to register? Are you using the website, or the automated status line (0800 5610061)?

What does the 0800 line report on the issue

I do not work for VM. My services: HD TV on VIP (+ Sky Sports & Movies & BT sport), x3 V6 boxes (1 wired, 2 on WiFi) Hub5 in modem mode with Apple Airport Extreme Router +2 Airport Express's & TP-Link Archer C64 WAP. On Volt 350Mbps, Talk Anytime Phone, x2 Mobile SIM only iPhones.

0800 also said there was a fault - luckily it has now cleared but I had to keep checking as I could not register for updates. Useless facility if register does not work😖

You dont really need updates do you ? - when its fixed the 0800 number will tell you that - and in any case your connection will just start working again.

They only ever give "estimated" fix times anyway.

I had hoped that once the issue was fixed i would get an email and/or a text to save keep trying 800!!!

Why has it nmot been implemented in such a sensible fashion???

When its fixed your devices will just connect again - probably before any text would arrive - no real need to call 0800.

It does usually work though as when some road diggers severed our street's cable we got text updates when it was fixed.
