So after pressing VM to come and look at my property, finally I got the news my flat was serviceable.
Currently with BT and have their Smart Hub 6, with the extra wifi disc. Would it be wort usingthe Virgin Hub in Modem and using the BT one or not?
Seems to be mixed reviews on here on what to do?
If you have the HUB and a spare disc, and you are conversant in setting em up and avoiding double natting, yes its likely to be a better option than a vanilla HUB3.
As a Very Insightful Person, I'm here to share my knowledge. I don't work for Virgin Media.

Get the hub 3.0 set up and see how it works. Then put it into modem mode (the LED must turn magenta before you can do anything) and connect the BT HH by its WAN port to the hub. As the HH supports Wave 2 ac I'd expect it to work well.
Does the BT hub even have an Ethernet WAN port? If not then putting the VM into modem mode is going to be a non-starter.
The HH6 with FTTP has a WAN port, the ones with DSL don't.
