How do I go about requesting Virginmedia to install BB services to my Flat? We must be the only part of Oxford that doesn't have Virginmedia, it seems SKY got in first when my small block was built 11 years ago.

It's owned by a Housing Group called GreenSquare, I have been in touch with them and they said they are happy to allow Virginmedia to come along and lay cables and install BroadBand into their flats, its just a matter of Virginmedia doing it....

I use to be with Virginmedia 4 years ago at when I lived at another property but having moved into a private block of flats I am now with ADSL ~ SKY ( get more speed off a piece of wet string !)

I so miss my Virginmedia BB and Tv Package..

I rang Virginmedia but all I got was the same old talk, it appears your PostCode is not on our list of services ( like I couldn't work that one out for myself...) I know so how do I go about requesting it to be installed, is there a department that handles this ? Yes Sir... WELL ???? "I dunno when they would be able install it....  I ended the call...😡

SO: Any ideas on how I can chase them up !! Yes I understand about the Covid situation at the moment, is there a way I can email the department for help ? 🤔

Sky & all the other providers use BT lines, & there is an obligation on the part of Openreach to service the property. All this provision will be phone cabling, not coaxial cable which Virgin use. Also the TV systems will run from the roof down, not the bottom up. So the outlay to install Virgin is an expensive one, & will probably require a significant contribution from the property owner to wire up each flat with the specialised coax required to provide services.
