What a rip off. Just seen my bill jump up to over £190 a month for a phone we don't want, broadband (we use) and a TV package that is largely rubbish. How easy is it to leave and shop around? I've been a Virgin user for over 15 years, and am afraid to say I'm probably institutionalised!!!!

very easy to leave.
simply call CS and ask to cancel.

you are then free to chose any other provider that tickles your fancy.

Wow. What have you got? You can get the new 500 service with all TV channels and unlimited data on a VM phone for £99 for 1 year and then £139 per year thereafter.

Call “Retentions” immediately... on 150 or 0345 454 1111 - options 1-1-4-5 "Thinking of leaving" - they are open Monday to Friday, 8am until 9pm. Saturday, 8am until 8pm and Sunday 8am until 6pm [calling early is usually best]) you will usually get a UK call centre who’s staff are informed and helpful. Tell them you are thinking of leaving for Sky/BT because of the ridiculous price you are paying. They will immediately offer you a package that is more suitable for your needs at a more reasonable price - in lieu of you starting a new 12mo contract. Haggle hard and play the "loyal customer" card.
