I signed up for the windows insider today and low and behold it downloaded the 1803 (build 17133.1) version tonight 'Creators Spring Edition' The Fall edition was very stable so I hope this is the same
It took about 26 minutes to download the updates and install, It's still got the white search box, it used to be black but with updates to the previous version it went white, well it's still white with this version lol
Possibly the fix or patch has yet to come through before it gets a public release.
Just looking through it at the moment. Maybe others have had more time with it and I would like to hear your comments criticisms etc;
Now it has been updated to Version 1803 (build 17133.73) the latest build and the search box is back to black again possibly due to colour changes that I made in settings
My desktop at home is stuck on 1607 and continually tries to update to 1709 but the update fails so it reverts and this cycle repeats with each and every boot, bloody annoying especially as I can't see to fond the reason for the upgrade failure.
-> Closed @iLunNips Possibly half an hour for a clean install, try recovery and it gives you the options to keep files and programs and reinstall the windows, depends on the speed of your hard drive mine is an SSD it reloaded windows and files in about half an hour.
Yes planning on reinstalling but need to back it up first. The drive in my desktop is an SSD so the install happens quite quickly.
Another big update this morning claimed by Windows as the biggest update yet. It took about 9 minutes to load and run it's a feature update which brings it up to Windows 10 vers 1803 (build 17134.1)
I wonder if this is the full spring update that was held back, that was released this morning or if there is more to come. 
PS It seems on checking that it is an insiders release which some claim has still a bug in it https://bit.ly/2HCfEzz 
The last few updates for Windows 10 have caused a few problems such as USB devices no longer working which does beg the question as to who in Microsoft does the testing?
Well after updates I ran Wise Registry Cleaner and Driver Booster 5 to make sure everything connects together and and is running with the latest drivers as well as Belarc Advisor to check that all security updates have been installed. So far so good, my main problems were with Realtek audio, but were fairly easy to correct.
