Re: Has anyone tried the new Windows 10 vers 1709 yet?

I've got it on my phone and laptop, loving it, very user friendly, did have perform clean install of it on both devices though, before it did what it says on the tin, that it can, but it's the most stable version so far, and I have been through them all 👍🏼

Re: Has anyone tried the new Windows 10 vers 1709 yet?

Not even through the control panel or run command? Got to be a f key then surely? How else could it be fixed if it all goes wrong? Got to be there somewhere, even if its that , you have to run it from system 32, using file explorer. Click on the folder icon on taskbar, then go up until you see control panel and then select view all in the filter option, administrative tools I think is where you will find it 👍🏼

Or as it is booting open the bios setup at the command prompt, if you don't know how to do that one, for safety of your device I'm not going to tell you, you can do real harm when you change bios settings plus then I'll have to fix it for you 😂

Re: Has anyone tried the new Windows 10 vers 1709 yet?

What version of Windows 10 do I have?
Check for operating system information in Windows 10. Type about in the search box on your taskbar, and then select About your PC. Look under PC for Edition to find out which version and edition of Windows that your PC is running. Look under PC for Version to find out which version of Windows 10 your PC is running.

Greetings from my sister's laptop - it's just taken me 5 hours 45 minutes to install 4 updates.  Man Frustrated  I did have other plans but the computer said no.  Several reboots later... 80Mb over Wi-Fi.Smiley Happy

The time taken for Windows 10 to perform updates is beyond laughable.  This OS is a pathetic joke!

Re: Has anyone tried the new Windows 10 vers 1709 yet?

According to wiki there are twelve different editions of windows 10 and I suppose it's better to have automatic updates switched on so as not to get bogged down at a later time if they have been left lapsed for too long, as well as updates to third party software, browser/extensions, drivers etc;
