HDMI extender works with old TV but not new

Hi all,

I brought some very cheapo female to female hdmi extender to drag the tele outside for the footy.

Connected 3 cables together and tested with old tv, worked fine! great I thought.

Dragged my new celcus big tele out and it doesnt work!

What reason could this be? is it that the tv's are putting different power down the hdmi cable or something?

Any ideas?

cheers

Re: HDMI extender works with old TV but not new

The cables daisy chained probably mean its not fast enough to support full HD, possibly the old tv is only HD Ready

Re: HDMI extender works with old TV but not new

From what I recall you can only transmit signal over HDMI cable by 10m. You can ebay a little coupler/joiner that will also boost the signal. Myself I use these

Which also means I can control the tivo box as well.
