You don't say which VM equipment you have or what you are trying to do.
I may be wrong but I believe you are trying to pair the VM remote control for either a TIVO or V6 box with a JVC TV.
If so follow the instructions on the following page, tv-remote/not-working-v6
Make sure you press the TV and Clear buttons simultaneously until the light at the top of the V6 remote flashes green twice.
If that doesn't work then click on Home > Help and Settings > Help > Set up Remote.
Follow instructions there it should give you a series of codes to try. You can also put 0999 in place of the code and press channel up until the TV turns off. then press ok.
Instead of the 999 you can also try the following JVC codes.
0007 0018 0075 0103 0123 0154 0163 0170 0182 0214 0225 0409 0433 0465 0657 0670
