Re: Docsis 3.1 deployment and Hub 4 - end of 2017 and 2018

No doubt it’s capable but I’m sure you can agree that the chances of users getting 500mbps down on docsis 3.1 is higher than in 3.0

Re: Docsis 3.1 deployment and Hub 4 - end of 2017 and 2018

Very true. Needs the business case behind it though and that needs higher prices and/or more competition at the high end to force VM to increase investment and accept lower margins.

At the moment most of the competition is in the cheap tat range where TalkTalk and others live, along with the 'value add' of a business selling broadband because they want to sell you TV in Sky.

No, I will not fix your computer. I wouldn't know how to anyway.

How are you producing speed test results of 600/40??

Single connection or you bonding?

Given you tell the tester which type of connection you are using I would be happy to change it to cable if it made you happy Smiley Happy

Or you could just click the image in my signature given it goes to the test result.

Re: Docsis 3.1 deployment and Hub 4 - end of 2017 and 2018

Indeed. You weren't using 2 IP addresses to reach the testers so it didn't mistakenly guess you had a proxy.

The speed itself is pretty much spot on. 350/20 + 200/20 with the extra 15% for overheads on both Smiley Happy
