I rent so cannot put any new sockets into the house.
We have one Virgin cable in front room but I want a second box in my bedroom.
With sky I just plugged my sky box into a regular plug, can I do the same with Virgin or will I need sockets etc ?
thanks in advance

Virgin TV boxes require two connections. Coax to feed the cable tuner in the box directly, & either Ethernet or WiFi for OnDemand/EPG updates etc. Unless there is an internal route that can be used, there is no option but for a second wall outlet from outside.

Virgin needs a feed unlike sky so if there is no feed there it would likely need drilling and tacking of cable
