Could PMF be the cause of the Hub5 problems?

PMF is recommended to be turned off for the 2.4GHz band on my Ubiquiti router and I have also found this:

I guess when VIP's eventually get their hands on one... someone can check it out. Or maybe respond to a tech-savvy poster who is having some of the issues and may be prepared to give it a go?

I do not work for VM. My services: HD TV on VIP (+ Sky Sports & Movies & BT sport), x3 V6 boxes (1 wired, 2 on WiFi) Hub5 in modem mode with Apple Airport Extreme Router +2 Airport Express's & TP-Link Archer C64 WAP. On Volt 350Mbps, Talk Anytime Phone, x2 Mobile SIM only iPhones.

I suspect the Hub5 has been crippled in the ability to change a lot of the settings that are available on most other routers. VM seem to do this in the misguided belief that it is easer to support with a lesser number of setting that the user can change.
