I would like to understand *in depth* how Virgin blocks rt.com. I am looking for *technical* answers, please do not spare any detail. Please, if you don't know technology (OSI model, firewalls, ssl, sni, dns), just don't answer. This is not social media, so don't try to be nice, I will not be nice in return.

We are complying with new government regulations

The UK government has recently introduced new regulations which require UK telecoms companies to prevent access to certain Russian-owned websites. We’re complying with these requirements.
