Re: Can't access a website on phone wi-fi

Thank you, I will have another try when I get home and see if the issue is now resolved. I have spoken to them numerous times but they just keep telling me there's no issue there end.

Re: Can't access a website on phone wi-fi

If it was my site then it could maybe look like this but unfortunately it is one of my (biggest) suppliers so bring able to access it is quite important to me. I could do a shameful spam of my own website and ask for tech help on it as it doesn't work at all but I don't operate like that

Use of different Domain Name Servers might explain this. To confirm if this is the case go to https://www.dnsleaktest.com, run the Standard test on each device and post the redacted Hostname for each here, for example if the result Hostname was example-dnscache-0.server.virginmedia.net I would redact it to ?.?.virginmedia.net.

Re: Can't access a website on phone wi-fi

Sorry, should have said it works fine on 4g on my phone

@chenks wrote:
but the OP then says it works fine in WIFI on the laptop - that would suggest it's not a virgin media virus safe issue. so let's not just read the title, let's read the WHOLE post?

so from what he OP says.. it seems to be the following

works fine on WIFI on laptop
works fine on 4G on laptop (not sure how that is possible)
doesn't work in WIFI on phone.
no mention if it works on data on phone.

Re: Can't access a website on phone wi-fi

That's a foreign language to me...should I just resign myself to not being able to use this site on my phone?

Re: Can't access a website on phone wi-fi

If you run the test on your laptop (using Wi-Fi) do you see the same Hostname result as shown for your phone previously?
