Re: Back from the grave

Windows 10 works on a phone, but not on me desktop?  Spontaneous reboots and apps packing up??  It'll be fun if nothing else.Smiley Very Happy

Funny you should mention spontaneous reboots because I'm suddenly getting this on my old faithful Dell workstation with Windows 7.  Is this a new 'feature' that MS have rolled out in a recent Windows Update I wonder?

Re: Back from the grave

I think Microsoft are catching on to people using the group policy editor, I had similar problems that came about a few weeks later after I made adjustments to the group policies and had to reset changes back to the original settings to facilitate a fix.

Re: Back from the grave

There was a bug in WinHTTP that caused internet apps to crash along with the start menu.  However, this hasn't stopped all the problems.  I still get "faulting applications" which don't seem to be coded properly.  Problem is that they're from the motherboard manufacturer Smiley Sad.  It isn't happening as much as it did but it's still annoying when I'm in the middle of something important.Man Mad  What have Microsoft inflicted on us?Smiley Frustrated  I want my Acorn Electron back, at least that works.

Wonder how this would pan out on the 'phone....
