Accessing Archived Posts

Is anyone able to advise how I am able to view some historic posts I have saved in my account's activity log from several years ago that have been archived?

when selecting the historic posts, I am presented with a screen that states the post has been archived, but no further details are provided as to how this can be viewed/accessed.

All and any help or suggestions appreciated.

It now appears that many archived posts are not now available, perhaps they have been archived elsewhere not accessible to the common user, or more likely deleted altogether. 

Posts in the archive appear in a somewhat random order and it's nigh on impossible to search what little remains in any meaningful way.

Previously, searching the forum with your username would show all your posts, including those in the archive, but this appears to be no longer the case.

As far as I can tell, from past topics that I had bookmarked, a big clear-out of topics happened some time in the middle of this year and was applied to topics over a year old. One of the most useful features of the forum was to be able to go back and find a previous topic so as to provide info or a fix or a workaround that worked previously for similar current topics. A lot of that past material is now gone or inaccessible.

Hi folks,

Yes, we had a mass clear out a few months ago and archived a lot of the older content. Sadly when you have a decade of posts it starts to have a negative impact on performance particularly when it comes to searches both on the community and via search engines. If it's a particular topic you're after then I can probably fish it out the archive for you.

I've unarchived them, but it's likely they'll end up back in the archive at some point so you might want to find a way of saving them!
