"Reached your limit" error on Sky Sports app following upgrade to iOS 8
I have an issue with accessing the Sky Sports app following upgrading my iPad to IOS 8.
In order to free up enough space to install the update, I had to factory reset my iPad. When it was upgraded the app did not recognise my device as being a registered device and said that I had reached my registered device limit. I went to the “device management” screen via my Virginmedia portal, deleted the ‘old’ iPad and re-registered the ‘new’ iPad, using my one device change this month in the process. When I logged back into the app, it did not recognise the device and still said that I had reached the limit of registered devices.
I cannot make another change to my registered devices until next month, and I do not see why I should need to as the device is registered.
I have already spoken to Sky customer services who say that the issue lies with Virginmedia.
As you can see from the half a response I got it would appear that they are not prepared to make any changes to number of device changes per month under any circumstances so unfortunately you will need to wait until 1st Oct as I assume that this rule applies to devices for Sky Apps through Virgin as well.

That is fair enough, but as I used my device change in order to re-register my device I don't see that waiting until 1st October and changing the device again will necessarily solve my problem. The device I want to use is correctly registered, it's just the app does not accept it.
