Virgin TV Go app

chamoisleather
On our wavelength

Hi all

I've been using the Virgin TV Go app on my ipad for years, mostly without a problem. However, in the past few days, I get a "Sorry - this isn't available.  Oops - the service isn't available at the moment.  Try again in a few minutes". I've tried again several times but still get the same message.

Nothing on our package has changed in over a year.  I've turned our box on and off which doesn't sort the problem, should I uninstall the app and re-install?

Thanks.

Hi again chamoisleather,

It's definitley worth a try and reinstalling it.

It may be a recurring error which VM haven't picked up yet, although looking at the forums the main IOS problem seems to be due to older versions of IOS

Hi chamoisleather,

The TV Go app has been updated and only works on the following now

To use Virgin TV Go, your mobile or tablet will need to be:

  • Android 5.1 or later
  • iOS 11 or later

NOTE: Virgin TV Go is not available on Amazon Fire devices

Hi Dave,

Thanks for your reply.  I've just checked my settings and I'm on IOS 12.4.8.

Hi,

i've also noticed my tv go app doesn't work on my ipad, but i cant install the latest version of the app because i cant install iOS11 presumably because my ipad is now considered "too old" (despite being in prrfect working order!)....is there a browser version available?....everytime i click on the links that say theyre going to a browser version they simply launch the app...

i hate apples forced obselesence of devices that are in perfect working order, and i hope that virgin isnt just getting on board with this.

Good morning, Dwheap,

Thanks for posting.

My apologies for the delayed reply and also the TV Go issue.

Can you try this link here on your iPad to see if it works?

Kind regards,

Tuning in

I am still unable to log into Virgin TV go. I have updated iso - re installed app - but still not working. It just says sign in failed.

im unable to use my Netflix account on TV as it’s requesting I cancel and register through Virgin but if I do that and can’t log in to TV go I can’t watch Netflix on other devices.

Help please

Hi Chittychitty,

Thanks for posting and welcome to our community 🙂

I'm sorry to hear you're having some issues with TVGO.

Can you confirm if you're able to log in to your My Virgin Media account with the details you're using for TVGO?

Is the app up to date? Can you confirm if works on any other device?

Is Netflix still an issue? It should allow you to use your own account.
