The TV control app no longer connects to my tivo box. App has been reinstalled and Tivo box rebooted but the no longer works. The issue started yesterday when there were also issues with recordings disappearing from the box the moment they have finished recording.

Are you trying to connect to your TiVo remotely?

Or is this "at home" use with an Ethernet connection from the box to your router?

What happens when you try to load the app?

Thanks for your post and apologies to hear you are having an issue with this. 

As well as the questions from japitts, can you also let us know the following:

  • What device you are using the TV Control app on? 
  • What software is the device running?
  • Do you have the same issues when using the app on another device?

Hi @PCR75 

Thanks for raising the issue to us.

We have been liaising with our support team and we just need to check the following.

  • Are you on the same WiFi connection on both the device you are using the app on and the V6?
  • Have you got your standby settings on the box as either 'Connected Low Power' or 'Always On'?
  • Have you been able to try any other devices to see if this issue still persists?
  • Have you been able to reinstall the app and set it up from scratch again to see if this resolved the issue?

If you could let us know on each points ASAP we can let the support team know.
