Streaming on IPad not permitted .Why.

I am on holiday and we wanted to watch some tv programmes on my IPad here because there is only a tv with free view . Although I was able to record a programme remotely we could not watch it because the message said that streaming is not allowed on our Virgin TV box . My husband phoned Virgin tech dept but they were not much help as they said there were restrictions on our site for streaming .He thought we were abroad but we told him we were in Cornwall but that didn’t help he still said streaming was restricted .We don’t understand why ,Can anyone help me ?

You can’t stream your recordings while away from home.

You can, for V6 users, download recordings while at home for offline viewing.
