Sky Sports App

Lately I have been unable to use the Sky Sports App to view live sport. The log in page does nothing when I enter my e-mail and password. I have uninstalled the app & reinstalled but still the same despite having used it not that long ago on this android device.

The TV on the go app works fine just not this one.

Anyone else finding this issue?

I'm sorry to hear you're having trouble with the Sky Sports app.

 

Could you tell us the make and model of the device you're using to access the app? Has Sky Sports ever worked on this device?

Hi,

It's a Sony Z5 Compact which I've been using for over two years. The app has worked before although I often find I have to log in each time.

But now I find the log in page does not do anything after entering the details on the Virgin log in.

I use the main account email and password for this and also for the Virgin TV apps. They work ok so I know it's not a case of wrong password.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app but still no response.

It's Android 7.1.1. 

The app has finally decided to work again after several weeks of not allowing me to log in - yet I've entered the same details!? 

Like I said, the app worked ok before on this device and on my tablet but I do find it's always logging me out at times from both and sometimes even if I do manage to log in, the Live TV will not play. I have had the same two devices registered for about two years.

Hi Gordon,

 

That does seem to be an unusual one. We usually find in cases like this that there is a conflict between the device and app itself.

 

How has it been since you've last posted? Has the app logged you back out again or is it working okay?

I've just tried both devices now and both seem fine.

For some reason the issue I was having went on for months but hopefully it has cleared itself.
