Sky Player error OVP_00002

having real problems getting sky player to work on my lap top top.  Works fine on other devices.

I have a V6 box, TVGO is set up fine on lap top and I'm able to watch all shows except the sky sports programmes (i am subscribed).  On clicking on these, I then exit to watch, log into view (via virgin media link), says have i downloaded desktop player (I tick already done), it loads and comes up error code OVP_00002 (Max number of devices exceeded).

In following through to the help screen I can get to the virgin registered sky devices and it says I have 2 registered but I have one change remaining.

I am reluctant to delete and try again as I have already been through this process once (when I had a spare space and 2 changes remaining) and I repeated the process and got the same message.

Any ideas ?

Re: Sky Player error OVP_00002

Hi DebbieR,

Thanks for posting on the community.

First I'd just like you to try and sign in on the Sky Sports website instead.

You can find out how to do this on our help page here.

Please get back to us if it's still the same error.

Thanks

Re: Sky Player error OVP_00002

thank you for responding, apologies for very slow response !!  - I've been unable to use my lap top.

I was logging in via the sky sports web page, I've tried via the virgin link and going directly to the web page, both result in the same message.

It seems to me its due in some way to the device registering ?

thanks

Re: Sky Player error OVP_00002

Hi DebbieR,

Thanks for your reply.

What I'd like to do next is to reset your devices so you can register again.

In order for me to do this I'll just need to send you a private message to confirm further details.

You will find this message if you click on the purple envelope at the top right of the screen.

Speak to you soon
