When I watch Sky Sports F1 live on the TV Go app I always have a red bar at the top with Sky Sports F1 and a left facing arrow written on it. How do I get rid of this and get the video/programme full screen? I'm not referring to the red bar on the right that show you other views like driver view etc, I got rid of the by toggling the small rectangular box at the top on the right.

Have you had a reply yet? It's been over 3 months now and the football season will be starting again soon.
I can confirm that the issue is still there for Formula One, the red bar was showing while I was trying to watch the GB Grand Prix.

What does the football season have to do with F1?

They both suffer from the same 'red bar' issue. It's probably worth you reading the whole thread, and it will be become clearer.

Fair cop - I missed those couple of references.
I'm not sure what it adds to the issue, but it seems the affected programmes are all those that have "multiscreen" options rather than just a single feed.

Posting this again, because it's gone very quiet. Is there any update on this issue? It's been over 3 months since anyone from VM commented

For what it's worth, if you start the stream on the programme before the one you want to watch it carries through without the in game stats which is causing the red bar issue.
To explain that better I am now watching the Norwich v Liverpool match, but I started watching before the end of Soccer Saturday, the programme which preceded it on Sky Sports Premier League and I've got no red bar.
If I start it on another device after the programme has started I get the clips and stats red bar.
It's a work around rather than a solution but thought I'd mention it.

Thanks, yes I've noticed that there is this workaround, but it takes some planning🙁
So over to you @Virgin how is your 'specialised team' getting on? They've been looking at it since March (see earlier posts in this thread) , any updates?

Hi @strawfoot
We have been running checks and trying to replicate the issue but we cannot replicate it. Sky Sports on the TV Go app is working with no issues on IOS and android.
Can I check if the devices you are watching Sky Sports on are fully up to date?
Does it only happen on the F1 / football?
Kind regards,
Serena

Hi Serena
Yes my devices and Software are fully up to date (note, this was established earlier in this thread).
Please share the screen shots from the Samsung tablet test please. I would like to see the results of viewing a Sky Sports channel via the Sky Sports App (not TV Go app) that contains timeline and stats on a Samsung tablet.
Here's a script:
