OK so my Ovp error code has gone, decided to uninstall app, unregister device and reinstall app then sign back in. I had done this b4 but without unregistering device and it didn't work. Really don't know why It suddenly fixed as I was running most recent update of app???

Hi Cocksy77,

 

It does seem a bit unusual but it's good to hear it's sorted. We're still working with Sky and the development team to sort out the issues with the app and Sky player.

 

Keep an eye on it and pop back to the Community if you get any more trouble.

I have the same problem. I have a galaxy s8 phone and the Virgin telly tablet.

I had this issue, and I uninstalled the app and reinstalled it and it is no working fine.

No need to uninstall sky sports app. Clear cache and/or data from within App storage then go back on to App as if it's first time.

This error is persistent to the point where it probably isn't worth trying any more.

Roll on May 2018 when my contract ends.

Not only do I have this problem but my mobile keeps loosing the connection to my home wi-fi.

The all round performance of my Virgin Media package is nothing short of disgraceful and a complete waste of money.

Not to be recommended for any of my neighbors

I'd just like to check whether you've tried any of the suggestions above regarding the 'OVP error code unknown' and what device are you currently using?

 

Regarding your WiFi connection, is it only your mobile that's losing connection?

I have had this error reoccur but fixed it with just an uninstall / reinstall of app. Next time it happens going to try just clearing the app data to check that this method also works.
