Not allowed to use already registered device

I have just tried to watch something on one of my registered devices and I have received a message saying that I have reached the maximum number of registered devices and have to wait until the 1st Jan to change.

Why?

This laptop is one of the two registered devices - nothing has changed since I last used it - so why is it no longer recognised as a registered device?

Re: Not allowed to use already registered device

Background security update is the most likely cause.

Re: Not allowed to use already registered device

Also a further complication - I have two devices registered: my laptop using Firefox and my son's laptop also using Firefox. So this is what the Device Management settings screen shows:Clipboard01.jpg

I want to replace my device but the problem is - which one is my device and which one is my son's device?

I've got the same problem - absolutely sucks when you go to watch the football. Sort it out Virgin
