If I don't get Error vg-4227858839 then I sometimes get Error 1949. Maybe if I wanted to watch a history programme it would be Error 1066 !.... or an England football match .... Error 1966, or an episode of the 'BILL' ... Error 999
At the moment, after all the uninstalling/ reinstalling via Roaming etc. I get to the screen that lets you tick a box to say "I have installed the new player" but when I tick it....the box above it, doesn't change - it stays "install the new player" so I just get sent to the page to install the new player when I have already got it.
If someone from Virgin says that Sky are aware of the problem and a fix will be available soon then I think it will be Error 2019 or even 2020 !
Well we are now into the middle of June and there is still no new new sky sports player. I still get the loading wheel going round and round - this has been happening for the past 6 months when the latest sky sports player came on stream. It is totally unacceptable. It's the same for the new sky cinema player!!!!!!!!!!!!
Been with VM now for a year, paying £85 a month with lack of Sky Sporks player for at least last 4 months. Now they've put my bill up to £124 a month.
I can move back to Sky now that they offer fast broadband and get everything I get with with the exception of BT sports (albeit only 40MB BB instead of 200MB but 40 is sufficient for my needs) for about £65 a month . No brainer for me.
I don't blame you. I watch bt sports a lot so I won't be joining you...yet! I know that VM can't fix the problem themselves but you would think that they could put decent pressure on Sky to sort it out. At least I can watch sky sports on my mobile when the TV is in use by others.
