I have the same VG-4227858839 error code, and the Cisco videoguard does appear to be running ok. I have tried these and other fixes and nothing works. Clearly there is a major issue with this app now, as it worked before. It is high time Virgin Media esculated this issue to Sky for an immediate fix as they are both getting well paid for a lousy service.
You will get nothing from Virgin Media, as they will just say Sky Go and TV Anywhere are free extra services, although like you, it is something I have been depending on, in my case to follow live football.
It seemed to take a lifetime for VM to update their Anywhere App, which was atrocious, and we have this issue with Sky.
Should I get anywhere with this, I will post an update on this thread and likewise would appreciate if you would be kind enough to do the same.
