2 devices registered, can use one or other not both

I have 2 iPads registered with sky sports. When one is logged in the other gets ‘maximum users reached’.

Having read other posts I deleted both using my pc then registered one again. Works fine. Tried to register the other got max users reached even though only 1 slot used.

Signed out of first and registered second one. Works fine. Tried to sign in again with first and got max users.

So freeing up all slots and re-registering afresh has not solved the issue.

Can you resolve please!

Re: 2 devices registered, can use one or other not both

Sky content is now restricted to one concurrent content stream in the Sky Sports and Cinema apps and in Virgin TV Go. This was changed from two concurrent streams earlier this month.

In Virgin TV Go all other content allows two concurrent streams.

Re: 2 devices registered, can use one or other not both

Thank you BenMcr for taking the trouble to respond.

It is a pity Virgin Media did not think of altering their error message and updating the content on the relevant pages to reflect this significant change. That would save people like you having to clean up for them.

Is this restriction particular to Virgin users or are Sky customers similarly affected? (You can see where I am gong with this).

Many thanks again.

Sky TV customers are similarly affected.  Now TV customers are not and can still have two concurrent steams per account. Even better they can register 6 devices and change 3 a month in addition to having 2 streams per account.

No problem wallyhowe.

Easy one way decision for me, cancel sky sports with virgin and get it with Now TV. Being able to have at least 2 streams is important for me, and by using a couple of Now TV accounts I get three for less than the half price offer I had with Virgin.  I will miss not being able to record on TiVo, but the 30 minute pause on Now TV is good enough.  Only shame is I can't get BT Sport other than via Virgin.
