TV has never been available to business customers.

No reason to expect that to change.

Why would you require a TV service as a business?

Business can sign up for Sky TV services, i.e Pubs. Hotels and Offices

They have Sky to show Sports and News

to Visitors or Workers

See here for details www.skyforbusiness.sky.com

Hi 123dp,

Unfortunately our business customers are unable to retrieve TV services.

Thanks,

Kain

Virgins TV service is not licenced for "commercial" use. Sky can provide a subscription under special arrangements they have with the FA etc.

A subscription is not necessary for just Sky News, which is available on all free TV platforms.

But there are more News channels

available not just Sky News,

some are free, some are not

Likewise some News channels

are available on Freeview and Freesat

and some are not, you need to compare

the Channel Lists to find out

The vast majority of news channels are free-to-air on satellite. Sky has stopped selling its FreeSatfromSky product now, but any older box that is still on the market on eBay & the like can be used to receive all the free channels on the Sky EPG without a viewing card.

Add to that many FTA receivers like the ones sold in Ireland can also receive these channels & are not tied to Sky or Freesat. It is after all an open platform. Broadcasters do a deal with SES to lease a transponder & then buy EPG slots to suit themselves. So Sky effectively has no control over any FTA channel coming off the satellite & through their dishes.

I have a Freesat box. CNN was removed from Freesat months ago, but I can still watch it in HD (which was never available on Freesat anyway)by manually tuning the box.
