Stream box

Hi, I am currently a broadband only customer and as per the virgin website I should be able to get a stream box for a £35 activation fee. However when trying to get this ordered over the phone I am being told my monthly payments will go up by £5 a month plus the activation fee.

I tried to speak to someone on web chat also and was told I could get one but my monthly cost would go from £34.99 to £77 along with the £35 activation fee.

Happy to pay the activation fee alone then it will give me the freedom to add subscriptions when it suits me.

Nope VM has added a sneaky fiver a month so it's even worse value for money now. See https://www.ispreview.co.uk/index.php/2024/10/virgin-media-uk-rename-stream-tv-box-and-add-5-monthly...

Thanks for that, my partner messaged Virgin on twitter yesterday and they advised there are no monthly fees for it. Think they need to make there mind up 😂.

I think Virgin are just coming out with random numbers now at this point.

Sorry to say this ashellie92, but you'd better get used to getting conflicting information from customer services. I've only been with Virgin since July but they are in a league of their own when it comes to poor customer services. I am already dreading a year next December when I have to negotiate my contract.
