Hi

no thats no marks thats deffo burn marks from where the pipe is

I would be surprised if the circa 75C max of a heating pipe would be enough to damage decent coax, with the proviso that if the cable were significantly distorted due to softening of the dieletric AND being flattened or bent, that might.  Looks round enough in the photo?

Cable coax needs a nice circular profile, with no crimping, crushing or excessively sharp bends, and no penetration of, or abrasion of the braided shield or foil insulation under that.

Hi

andrew yes i know none of my cable are i check.

This isnt marks has you can clearly see its eating away at the cable i dont want it to be a fire risk as well.

plus i know cables can take heat but i dont want it to mess the cable up all together.

Hi

Also not sure if virgin found the fault not seen at qam drops or power levels moving i think in 24 hours i think downstream power levels have been stable too.

Hello RockerSBM

Thanks for your reply

Sadly we have not got an update right now

My colleague was dealing with this and had contacted the Area Field Manager regarding your service

She is not back in tomorrow and we have no access to any replies in her emails

We will get back to you though from 1pm onwards

Gareth_L

Hi gareth

Can i ask about the cable the pic i put up here? will it be ok? its burning the cable thou

Hi RockerSBM

Are you able to separate the cable from the source of the heat at all

I'm not in any way able to say yes or no if it will burn or not

What pipe is it that its touching and how long has it been in contact for

Like what @Andrew-G said 75c max heating pipe would not cause that to burn
