possible intermittent fault ?

Download speeds have seemed slow for several weeks. I tested today between 13:00 and 15:00 and got results varying between 67 and 160 Mbps.

M200:  Windows 7 Ultimate: Super Hub 3

Software Version "V1.01.35"
Hardware Version 3.11

Test it on an ethernet cable connection directly into the Hub.

If still slow put Hub3 into modem mode and test again

If still slow boot it into safe+networking mode (still in modem mode) and test again

Report back what that gets

I do not work for VM. My services: HD TV on VIP (+ Sky Sports & Movies & BT sport), x3 V6 boxes (1 wired, 2 on WiFi) Hub5 in modem mode with Apple Airport Extreme Router +2 Airport Express's & TP-Link Archer C64 WAP. On Volt 350Mbps, Talk Anytime Phone, x2 Mobile SIM only iPhones.

Thank you.

MY PCs are connected by ethernet; WiFi is a non-issue for me.

Why put it in modem mode? I would have to move my connections around.

Modem mode just ensures that no other devices can be connected over wifi and ethernet - these can and do affect/attenuate speeds. Or just pull the plugs on all other ethernet connections and disable wifi in the Hub settings.

Thanks, that seems sensible BUT after swapping cables and changing to modem mode, I had zero connectivity.

After a hub factory reset and a computer restart, I now have internet again on one pc (of course) but I still cannot access the hub to change it back to router mode.

Average download speeds, as checked this afternoon, have increased from 36 Mbps to 38.5 Mbps - hardly outstanding on an M200 contract.

I have insisted that Virgin now replace this hub (that's another story).

Okay. After another reset, I am now back in router mode.

Download speeds are back to around 44 Mbps.

Disconnect any other ethernet cables from the Hub, in the Hub settings. switch the wifi off and then boot into safe + networking mode, use a new Cat5e/6/7 ethernet cable and test speeds at

https://speedtest.samknows.com

try on 2 different browsers.
Reportt back what that produces

Are those the software and hardware version number of the HUB3? Where do you see those because they are rather unusual.

My mistake, it's a SH2. Numbers as reported by the hub.

Did you test speeds as I suggested in message 7?

If so what was the outcome?
