internet keeps cutting out and speeds slow

hi, so when I have a stable connection, its great, super fast , when it achieves the speeds we are paying for, but past couple of days its as if its being throttled, by two phones and Netflix.

any help would be amazing since trying to get work done from home and having the internet cut its self out and reconnect after 5 mins is really frustrating. but i know you tech wizards will work it out , hopefully, it took 3 attempts to send this post as an example.

also cant seem to copy and paste upstream downstream data or status as it says correct the highlighted errors, which is literally odd bits of data that you need from me? so i dont know

Up to speed

I am no expert but the first port of call would be to check the cabling and all the connections ...into your equipment  they should be

firm and tight ... that is really important ... check also outside your property where the cabling enters ,,, good luck

already done. thanks though. i cant even paste and post the info they nee forum keeps saying correct highlighted areas , even tohugh its all corrected, its very frustratying

I can see a few cases where your modem is failing to keep a network lock. If all your coaxial cable connections are tight between the hub and wall socket and no area problem is indicated by calling 0800 5610061, then do a pinhole reset of the hub for at least 20 seconds and repost your stats and log after a day.

My Broadband Ping - Roger's VM hub 5 broadband connection

Hi kylep18,

Thank you for your post and welcome to the community.

I'm very sorry to hear about the broadband issues you've been having.

I have taken a look on our system and I am unable to see anything that could be affecting this.

Can you please confirm if you're continuing to have issues with this?

^Martin

its intermittent which i would assume its down to peak times, but i tend to have issues at random times of the day or night, can be after midnight and also randomly in the afternoon. its a weird one, it seemed to had sorted its self out and then issues again.

You should create a BQM which should show any intermittent issues.
