Re: When will upload speeds increase

If VM roll out DOCSIS 3.1 support for upstream then that will significantly help. Even without any other channel adjustments, being able to move from 64QAM to 1024QAM alone would mean a massive increase in upstream bandwidth.

In view of the poor competition provided by the likes of BT VM is under no pressure to greatly increase its upstream speeds, so it will remain DOCSIS 3.0 for upstream.

Re: When will upload speeds increase

@ToffeeSurprise I had the DLA and it was good. I never had to use the support team - so can't comment there - but yes the one I had was £480 a month and worth very penny. I pay nearly that now for 1000/220 on Market A Exchange

Re: When will upload speeds increase

Stop taking rubbish, I’m not sure who you are trying to fool. You certainly do not have Cerberus 1000/220. We knew this anyway but it’s not even available yet on market A exchanges.

Re: When will upload speeds increase

At the moment I'm uploading an 1.5 hours long concert footage onto Facebook and YouTube. It will take some 3 hours... And this is only full HD, not 4K. Virgin Media, please note that it's end of 2019, people have 4K-recording capable phones and they want to upload their footages!!! I don't care ever faster and faster download speeds, as 350mbps is already more than enough. But the upload speeds are terrible terrible terrible!!! When do you plan to offer at least 200mbps upload speeds??? Just for comparision: in Hungary you can get a 1000mbps download AND 1000 mpbs upload (!!!) speed internet package for some £22. Here we have to pay £50+ for the 350mbps download / 35mbps upload speed package!

Re: When will upload speeds increase

No worries, photography was allowed, and it will be visible only for my friends. It's better than copying the files onto usb sticks and send them to my friends via Royal Mail 🙂
