Water Damage killing Internet

Hi

Can someone at Virgin Media please help. Every time there is heavy rain the internet goes off in our street.

Last time it went off it was after a day of heavy rain... This was followed by an SNR fault in the area.

Last night there was torrential rain and today without fail its gone off again! I called VM who said its my hub but I've since checked with my neighbour and hers went off at the same time.

This must be caused by water damage, more rain expected on Sunday so its not coming back anytime soon.

In the last 2 months I've had about 3 weeks of service.

I'd call again but my home phone line doesn't work so having to use my mobile everytime it goes off and its cost me over £20 so far in calls.

£20 seems excessive, what number are you using to call virgin?

Re: Water Damage killing Internet

Hi thebigmg,

Thanks for taking the time to post on the community.

I'm sorry to read of the issues you are experiencing with the broadband connection.

I can see that you have called through to us and this is being dealt with.

If you have any further issues, by all means post back here.

Regards

Sam

If you're on an ancient call plan (like I am; been on it for 20 years) you can pay around 40p a minute to 0845 numbers.

Why would you call an 0845 number though?  Virgin has been 0345 for over 3 years
